Terms of use
Last updated 12 August 2026.
Gyaan Daily is made by Positiva Films, Mumbai, India. Using the app means these terms apply. They are short because the app does very little that needs governing.
What you get
A licence to use the app on devices you own, for your own reading. The app is provided as it is. We work at being accurate and we correct what we find wrong, but we do not warrant that every note and every attribution is beyond dispute, and nothing here is advice of any kind.
The verses
The texts in the app are out of copyright. The translations, the notes on what a verse is saying, the word-by-word glosses and the background on each work were written for this app and belong to Positiva Films. Quote them, share the cards, put them wherever you like. Do not republish the written layer wholesale as a product of your own.
Gyaan Daily Pro
The free version stays free and is meant to be worth using on its own, and every day's quote is readable in full without paying.
Pro is sold in three forms:
- ₹99 a month, renewing monthly.
- ₹399 a year, renewing yearly.
- ₹999 once, which does not renew.
Payment is taken by your App Store account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews itself at the same price until you stop it, and it is charged within 24 hours of the period ending. To cancel, use your App Store account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. It cannot be cancelled from inside the app, because Apple does not allow it to be. The one payment does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Prices are in Indian rupees and may differ in other regions, where Apple sets the local equivalent. If a price changes, Apple asks you before renewing at the new one.
Refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us. Ask through reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to refund a purchase ourselves, though tell us if something went wrong and we will help you sort it.
A purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it follows you to a new phone. Reinstall and use Restore Purchases in Settings.
What we ask of you
Do not attempt to extract the catalogue in bulk, resell the app, or pass the written layer off as someone else's work. Beyond that, read it however you like.
If we get something wrong
Tell us. A misattribution or a bad translation is a fault we want to fix, and there is a mechanism in the app for pulling a verse quickly once we know. Write to tally@positivafilms.com.
Ending it
Delete the app whenever you like. Everything it stored goes with it. We may stop offering the app or a part of it, and if a paid period is running when that happens, we will say so and see you right.
The legal part
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai have jurisdiction.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
